Committee member
Sébastien Kessler

Sébastien Kessler is a founding partner of accessible design consultancy id-Geo Sàrl and a qualified adult educator. He previously spent two decades working in the general management of Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV).

With a degree in Physics and later in Health Economics, followed by further study in Quebec, his particular interests lie in politics and institutions. He was a councillor for the city of Lausanne and in 2023 was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud. In both cases he was the first wheelchair user to hold the position. He has been a campaigner for many years and is a member of the board of the Swiss umbrella organisation, Inclusion Handicap, which has its headquarters in Bern. This wide variety of roles in the public and private sectors, academia and civil society takes him into very different worlds and he is well placed to bring them into dialogue with each other. In all these areas he is a committed advocate for non-discrimination and the promotion of greater inclusion and real equality.

Languages: French, English, German and Spanish.
